As we announced at the beginning of this post we now know a little about the Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana of Rincon de la Victoria. Malaga has a great history and mix of cultures that is reflected in lesser-known but highly recommended sights to see as is the case in this Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana. This is eighteenth-century fortress that was ordered built during the reign of Carlos III, specifically in 1766. The king ordered to build as a means to an attack by hackers, specifically from Holland and England. Also part of this building to defend the Tower of El Cantal and Benagalbón Tower.
The Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana is characterized by a quadrangular architecture and exterior stone walls and two towers diagonally placed that served to defend the attack. Bezmiliana the Strong House has two floors, a central building and an outdoor pool. Inside the fortress we find three different rooms: the “sala de la tropa”, the “Sala del oficial” and “sala sur o de la caballerizas” with 14 stalls and floor pavement.
In 1992 the Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana was restored and today one of its rooms, is open to the public. It is currently used as an art space where international artists of all styles show their works.
