Here are some of the lesser-known places of great tourist interest that you can find in Malaga.
- The Atarazanas Market: one of the oldest markets in Malaga. It is a neo-Arab style building with Nasrid and Caliphate elements. Stroll through its streets, surrounded by stalls selling fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, spices ... with wonderful colors. Do not forget to take your camera and photograph the details of this market. You can also eat there and enjoy the fresh products.
- Calle Larios: there is no doubt that Calle Larios is one of the most emblematic places in Malaga. On both sides of this pedestrian street we find numerous shop windows. But also, Calle Larios is a regular location for cultural events and works of art. It is common to find biznagas sellers in it that give a unique smell to the street.
- La Alcazaba: located at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro. The Alcazaba can be seen from various places in Malaga, especially one of the most beautiful views is from the Port of Malaga and, above all, at night, when it is illuminated because it gives off a unique charm. Built between 1057 and 1063, it is considered one of the most important Muslim works in Spain. It can be visited both day and night.
- The Parador de Gibralfaro: it is worth having a coffee in this Parador surrounded by pine trees and enjoying one of the most beautiful views of Malaga, where we can see both the Port, the Park, the Plaza de Toros de la Malagueña and part of the beach.
- The English Cemetery: built in the 19th century. It may be a bit strange to visit a holy field but this cemetery is much more, it is considered a botanical garden. It also has beautiful views of the sea.
- Alcazabilla Street: located in the heart of the city. On one side we can find a beautiful view of the Alcazaba and the Roman Theater. One recommendation is to walk through it at night, as the lighting of these two monuments makes it even more special. On the other side we find numerous bars, restaurants and cafes where we can sit and enjoy a unique view, especially on summer nights.
- El Pimpi: it is one of the most historic and picturesque bars in Malaga. It has an entrance through the aforementioned Calle Alcazabilla and another through Calle Granada. It is a unique place where you can enjoy Malaga cuisine accompanied by a good wine also from the province in a special atmosphere.
- AC Málaga Palacio Terrace: This terrace is located on the 15th floor of the Málaga Palacio Hotel. We can go up without having to stay at the Hotel and enjoy incredible views and a chill out, relaxed atmosphere, with sofas, beanbags and live music.
